Snoozebaby’s goal is to produce its line in an environmentally friendly way. This cannot be accomplished for the whole collection in one step, but is happening by making improvements in a series of steps in collaboration with MADE-BY. In the mean time, Snoozebaby is as transparent as possible about our production and we provide all the progress made in the area of sustainability. At the end of the calendar year improvements made in the areas of environmental and social conditions are put on three scorecards.

These scorecards show which percentage has been produced with certified suppliers, the size of the share of biological cotton in the past year and the level of sustainability of the materials used by a brand. In addition the amount of biological cotton is given in kilos. The scorecards cover a period of one year, from January 1 to December 31. Scorecards are published only from the brands, which have been a member of MADE-BY for a full year. Brands, which are members for less than a full calendar year, have a report published about the progress made and the projects started.

Clean water for every child 

It sounds like a given, but everyone has the right to clean drinking water. This is necessary for health and therefore, a chance at a future. Still, 1.1 billion people in the world have no access to clean drinking water. Stichting Max fights childhood mortality with small-scale drinking water projects in Bangledesh. The combination of drinking water provisions, latrines and advice is the most efficient manner to fight sickness and give children a future. Stichting Max builds the water wells in Bangledesh, together with local people.

The overhead costs are paid by the management board of Stichting Max, therefore each euro that comes in goes to water projects.
